For the past year or so I&#8217;ve been in email conversation with the filmmaker Mark Blottner, who is one of the producers\/directors of the documentary <a href=\"http:\/\/nelsonalgrentheroadisall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Nelson Algren: The End Is Nothing, The Road Is All<\/em><\/a>, which I highly recommend looking out for. Anyway, somewhere in the last couple of months the conversation turned to music, and Mark sent me various links to bands from the Chicago scene that centered, at least in part, on a bar called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chibarproject.com\/Reviews\/Phyllis'\/Phyllis'.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Phyllis&#8217; Musical Inn<\/a>.
