One episode of the podcast is <a href=\"http:\/\/vishkhanna.com\/2015\/10\/08\/ep-217-do-you-compute-the-story-of-drive-like-jehu\/\" target=\"_blank\">a two-hour special on Drive Like Jehu<\/a>, and during it, John Reis and Rick Froberg both talk about Honor Role, and in particular, the guitar playing of Pen Rollings. Listen, and understand why.\u00a0 When you pay attention to the music that the bands you like like themselves, you start to piece together a tradition of rock music that allows you to listen to stuff you&#8217;ve heard before all over again, as though it were new. Or maybe not as though it were new, but all over again, in a way that&#8217;s new, and piles on top of the other ways you&#8217;ve listened to it before.\u00a0 So now you (or I) can listen to Drive Like Jehu, and add a layer of listening that has something to do with Honor Role, and listen to Honor Role in a way that has something to do with Drive Like Jehu.\u00a0 And on and on.<\/p>\n<p>I really, really, recommend the Kreative Kontrol podcast.
