Each Friday I pick a song–new, old, borrowed, blue–that’s been on my mind and in my ears, and write a short post about it.

I’ve long thought about writing an essay about songs about music, though whether I ever get around to doing it is another story altogether.  If I do, I suppose this song will fall under, “Oh my god, this is just the most breathtaking song about music going.” Every good song works not because of the music or the words, but because of the music and the words, and this one fires on all cylinders.
